PERU UCAYALI RIVER

Located on the border with Brazil, the Ucayali region is almost entirely covered by the Amazon jungle. This region of Peru is remote and mostly inaccessible. Many indigenous communities are living in the Ucayali jungle. 

Ucayali River Cacao is a primary fermenter that works with cocoa farmers along the Ucayali River outside the Peruvian city of Pucallpa. With around 400 (four hundred) smallholder farmers with one to three hectares of land each, Ucayali River Cacao buys cacao at a premium price. Ucayali River Cacao has partnered with USAID and Alianza Peru to give local farmers access to an alternate market.

Prices are calculated per kg on a minimum of one bag.
