Cocoa collected from one plantation in the vicinity of the town Ocumare de la Costa on the Caribbean Sea. The plantation is notable for two subspecies of modern Criollo – Ocumare 61 and Ocumare 67 with very good genetics. Ocumare cocoa rightfully considered elite due to its unique organoleptic characteristics.
